The Allan Houser Foundation, is dedicated to preserving Mr. Houser's legacy as a teacher and artist. The primary mission of the Houser foundation is to promote international recognition for Allan Houser. Our continued goal is the development of working relationships with educational institutions worldwide. We provide resources for scholars, exhibitions, and the continued documentation of the life and works of Allan Houser.

Artwork and objects from the Allan Houser Archives have been loaned under the auspices of the Allan Houser Foundation to numerous institutions including: the Smithsonians National Museum of the American Indian, the Heard Museum, the Oklahoma History Museum, The Palm Springs Desert Museum, the IAIA Museum, Southwest Museum of Midland, TX, The Sundance Institute in Park City, Utah, The Denver Art Museum, Grounds for Sculpture, in Hamilton, New Jersey, and the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK.

Past and Future Projects

The Foundation created freeapache.com in the spring of 2010 as it's first community art's initiative. Freeapache serves to empower native artists to speak freely with their work.
